The Spurs boss failed to land the big one after Roy Hodgson's appointment, but will still get a first-hand view of the tournament with Gary Lineker and his merry band of men
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp may have missed out on the England job, but he'll still be at Euro 2012 this summer, in the plush surrounds of a BBC studio.
Gary Lineker revealed the news on his twitter page: “BREAKING NEWS! Harry Redknapp has after all got the big job at the Euros! He will be part of the BBC team.”
His name up in lights | 'Arry will join Lineker and chums for the Euros
Redknapp will join the likes of Alan Shearer, Mark ‘Lawro’ Lawrenson and England’s number one fan himself, Alan Hansen.
Aside as giving his expert tactical analysis, ("He's a triffic lad, lots of pace") the Spurs boss will surely field questions about potential signings with the now timeless "I don't handle transfers, that's the chairman's job" after each and every good performance from an exotic talent.
Lineker & Co. may have to tread a careful line with Redknapp's notorious tendency to turn the air blue providing one of the more fun pit-falls of live television.
