The QPR central defender admits that he could have graced the stage in the popular boy band had he not followed his brother Rio's footsteps into the world of professional football
QPR defender Anton Ferdinand has astonished us at Extra Time by admitting that he could have been part of the popular boy band JLS had he not ended up a professional footballer.
The brother of Manchester United's Rio, and an adept centre-back in his own right, is good friends with Marvin Humes, one of the four members of JLS.
"We were the original JLS," we told The Sun. "We used to sing a lot together when we were younger and do talent competitions.
"We had a group of friends that used to go round each other's houses and sing.
"I'd definitely like to think about a collaboration with them in the future."
And who knows, with QPR in such dire straits this season, relegation could give Ferdinand the encouragement needed to quit the game and head to the stage.
Hmmm | "Away day in Scunthorpe or a worldwide tour?"
