The good and the great of the footballing world took to Twitter to experience the excitement, thrills, controversy and goals of the World Cup opening game between Brazil & Croatia
Thursday's action began with a colourful opening ceremony before the main drama took over, with hosts Brazil taking on Croatia.
The match began in disastrous fashion for the Selecao, as Marcelo netted past his own keeper, but a double from Neymar and a late strike from Oscar sealed the win.
