thumbnail Hello,

While the West Ham striker ridiculed himself for a horrendous miss, Victor Moses looks ahead to the west London derby with QPR, Rio Ferdinand discusses wages and much more

"I'd have buried that" is what most people watching from their sofas at home would have said when Carlton Cole blazed over from all of two-yards out in West Ham's 2-1 win over Norwich on Tuesday. And you probably wouldn't be wrong.

Well, the forward has gone one better and suggested that his own mother would have put the ball in the back of the net if she was presented with the same chance.

Meanwhile, Wigan's Emmerson Boyce, Fulham's David Stockdale and Swansea's Wayne Routledge reflect on their New Year matches while Victor Moses looks ahead to Chelsea's first fixture of 2013.

Elsewhere on the social media network Gary Lineker is stuck in 2012, Rio Ferdinand talks money, Glen Johnson talks business and Joey Barton heads back to France.

It's all here in the Word on the Tweet ...

"Damn just watched match of the day , it really was a soccer a.m. "Taxi for Carlton " moment, my mum woulda put that away!‪#chinup‬

"Fair enough I missed a sitter but what I was more happy with today was with how I coped with it, I tried my best to forget about it & focus"
