With Valentine's Day over and done with for another year, and collective sighs of relief from men all over the country, Twitter has turned its attentions back to the action in hand - football.

Footballer's may not be the most poetic of souls so here, at Goal.com, we have picked out the best that the addictive internet-universe has offered in the last 24 hours.

In this edition of Word on the Tweet, we have the groundbreaking news that; Wayne Rooney has named his new horse, rather unmodestly, after himself, John Arne Riise confesses a long-held admiration for Cheryl Cole and namesake Carlton Cole warns team-mate Julien Faubert about the dangers of posting your whereabouts on a public domain.



"After weeks of indecision, Wazza has decided to call his horse Switcharooney! Let's hope he is a good un!"

Full-time racehorse fanatic, part-time footballer Michael Owen delivers the news that we've all been waiting for - the name of Wayne Rooney's new horse.
