The Brazil icon hopes the Selecao can still go on and win the World Cup, just as they did in 1962 when his tournament was brought to an early endNeymar's injury against Colombia - but remains hopeful they can go on to win the World Cup.
The Barcelona star suffered a broken vertebra following a challenge from Juan Camilo Zuniga in the closing minutes of the Selecao's 2-1 quarter-final win over Colombia on Friday.
The incident has ruled Neymar out of the rest of the tournament, but Pele - who saw his 1962 World Cup campaign curtailed through injury, only to see Brazil go on to win the tournament - believes Luiz Felipe Scolari's side are still fully capable of lifting the trophy.
