Craig Levein names the long-absent duo in his party along with Celtic midfielder Scott Brown as he targets the national side's first win in Group A of their World Cup qualifiers

Craig Levein has named captain Darren Fletcher and striker Steven Fletcher in his Scotland squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Wales and Belgium.

Sunderland star Fletcher has not played for his country since a friendly match against Sweden in August 2010 after making himself unavailable for selection following a dispute with Levein. His restoration comes after the pair held clear-the-air talks on Monday.

His midfield namesake made his first start after a 10-month injury lay-off as he played the full 90 minutes of Manchester United's League Cup win over Newcastle on Tuesday.

The duo are joined in the 25-man squad by Celtic midfielder Scott Brown after he sat out the first two Group A qualifiers with Serbia and Macedonia due to injury.
