TEAM NEWS: Kroos starts for Germany against Austria

Joachim Low has made two changes from the 3-0 win over Faroe Islands, whilst Austria try to match-up with a 4-2-3-1 formation

Germany will make two changes from the side that defeated Faroe Islands on Friday, by bringing Toni Kroos in for Mario Gotze and Marco Schmelzer for Per Mertesacker.

The Bayern Munich midfielder will replace the Borussia Dortmund youngster, despite the 20-year-old scoring a fantastic goal for Die Mannschaft on Friday, with his club team-mate replacing the Arsenal defender.

Elsewhere for Joachim Low's side, Manuel Neuer marshals a defence of Philipp Lahm, Schmelzer, Mats Hummels and Holger Badstuber.

Sami Khedira will play alongside Kroos, behind an attacking four of Thomas Muller, Mesut Ozil, Marco Reus and Miroslav Klose.

For Austria, they will line up in an identical 4-2-3-1 formation with Emanuel Pogatez and Sebastian Prodl at centre-back.

Veli Kavlak and Julian Baumgartlinger anchor a midfield of Marko Arnautovic, Zlatko Junuzovic and Andrea Invanschitz.
