TEAM NEWS: Roberto Soldado earns surprise Spain start in Georgia qualifier

The Valencia forward will lead the line for the world champions as they begin the defence of their trophy
Valencia striker Roberto Soldado has been handed a surprise start for Spain in their opening World Cup qualifier against Georgia in Tbilisi.

The former Real Madrid goal-getter is preferred in attack to Fernando Torres as Vicente del Bosque's side begin the defence of their trophy in Group I.

Elsewhere, Andres Iniesta and David Silva will play either side of Soldado in a 4-3-3 set-up, with Xavi, Xabi Alonso and Sergio Busquets making up the midfield trio.
