Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge keen ‘to make history’ with Team GB in Olympics
The 22-year-old forward confesses that he would love to play alongside the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale in this summer's Games in what he sees as a rare opportunity

The 22-year-old confessed that the thought of England stars playing alongside the best of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland made for a fascinating and historic prospect.
Asked by Chelsea’s official website if he would want to take part, Sturridge remarked: “Definitely, without a doubt.
“It’s the type of opportunity that only comes along once in a lifetime.
“It's the first time Great Britain have had a team competing in the football tournament and obviously we are the home nation, so it would be a chance to make history.
“My focus for this summer is on the European Championships but generally speaking, the Olympics is a great event.
“I think it's an interesting prospect for any player and if you get a chance to take part then you will take it.
“You always want to be involved in big events and if you get the opportunity that's great.”
The former Manchester City youngster added that he felt that Team GB would have a good chance of success in the tournament.
“I think they will do great. I know the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale have already said they want to take part, so to have players like that mixed in with the top English, Irish and Scottish talent should make for a brilliant occasion,” he enthused.
Sturridge made his first appearance for the England national side against Sweden in November 2011 after a strong start to the season for the Blues.
He has notched 10 goals for Andre Villas-Boas’ men in all competitions so far this campaign.

"I'm just really looking to build on that performance and get more games under my belt and more goals.
"It's something I've been waiting for for a long time. I've had a few caps under my belt and one or two starts. So, just to get the goal today, I'm really delighted."
"We know each other's games and obviously we're training with each other day in and day out.
"So, it was really good to start up top with him."
