David Beckham will be considered for Team GB Olympic squad - coach Stuart Pearce
Current under-21's boss also reveals members of England's Euro 2012 squad may not be fit enough to play in the Olympics and shortlist for squad is almost complete

Team GB boss Stuart Pearce has revealed David Beckham will be considered for selection for his squad for the 2012 Olympics.
The rules of the competition state teams can only select three players over the age of 23, and the former England captain stated he wanted to be considered for the tournament.
When asked if Beckham was part of his plans, Pearce told reporters: "He's certainly on a long list of people, yes."
Pearce also admitted player's fitness following Euro 2012 could impact whom he selects in his Olympic squad.
Senior members of the potential squad such as Jack Wilshere, Phil Jones, Danny Welbeck and Kyle Walker are likely to be crucial figures for England’s European championship campaign.
"Obviously if players are going to the European Championship with the senior team then we would have to take a considered view nearer the time in respect to a week or two weeks later they contribute to the GB team," Pearce continued.
"We'll approach that nearer the time and see how form and fitness is for the players who are on the long list that we are about to put out."
"The players will know very shortly," he added. "We're in the process of putting a long list out which can be added to in due course but at the moment it's quite a substantial list and those players will be acutely aware that they are on the list for the GB team."They will have to sign a form putting forward their participation within that and putting themselves forward for selection so the players will know themselves and the clubs will be aware very shortly of who is on that list of players."

"I'm just really looking to build on that performance and get more games under my belt and more goals.
"It's something I've been waiting for for a long time. I've had a few caps under my belt and one or two starts. So, just to get the goal today, I'm really delighted."
"We know each other's games and obviously we're training with each other day in and day out.
"So, it was really good to start up top with him."
