Chelsea's Ramires not worried by potential lineup changes ahead of Brazil clash with Paraguay
The midfielder is only focused on working hard to help his side secure their first victory of the tournament in their next Copa America encounter
By Luis Mira
The five-time World Cup champions will head into the game against Paraguay needing to bounce back after a frustrating goalless draw against Venezuela in their opening match.
Brazil coach Mano Menezes tested Santos' Elano in Ramires' place in a training session last week, and the Chelsea midfielder has declared he will accept all scenarios.
"At Chelsea it works that way, we only know who starts on the day of the game," Ramires said at a press conference. "If Mano picks me, I will be read to step onto the pitch and play well.
"He has not talked to me in private. He is thinking and testing, trying to see what is best for the team, testing some players, because he wants the team to win, too.
"If there is something he is not happy with, it is best if he changes it."
Questioned about Paraguay, Ramires' midfield team-mate Lucas stated he believes it will be a more suited opponent for his side, considering their approach to the game is not as defensive as Venezuela's.
"When the opponent is trying to attack too, they automatically open up spaces for the team to create more plays," he suggested.
"We always had a hard time to face teams who are more closed, but we are working on that, even because we know that most of Brazil's opponents play in a defensive manner."
