Arsenal-owned Denilson nets comedy own goal for Sao Paulo

The 25-year-old failed to clear a corner at the back-post and allowed the ball to bounce up on to his knee and into the back of the net to hand Sao Bernardo a farcical equaliser
Arsenal-owned midfielder Denilson just can't seem to get catch a break.

The Brazilian has been on loan at Sao Paolo since 2011 after falling out of favour with Gunners manager Arsene Wenger, but being back in his native Brazil has not prevented the world from seeing his most recent blunder.

With his side leading 1-0 away to Sao Bernardo on 25 minutes in the Campeonato Paulista on Wednesday, the former Brazil Under-17 captain scored a comedy own-goal to draw the opposition level.

Denilson caught only fresh air as he swung his leg to clear Bady's corner at the back post, allowing the ball to bounce up and ricochet in off his left knee.

Luckily for the 25 year-old, the Tricolor were able to snatch a late winner.
