Manchester United-bound Shinji Kagawa was on the scoresheet for Japan in their 6-0 victory over Jordan in Saitama on Friday.The midfielder struck in the first half to help Alberto Zaccharoni's side record a comprehensive victory, with CSKA Moscow star Keisuke Honda notching a hat-trick.
Jubilo Iwata striker Ryoichi Maeda and Yokohama F. Marinos defender Yuzo Kurihara bagged the first and last goals respectively in the rout.
United agreed a fee of up to £17 million with Borussia Dortmund to bring Kagawa to Old Trafford, with the 23-year-old set to feature for his country again on Tuesday when Japan travel to Brisbane to face Australia in a 2014 World Cup qualifier.
