thumbnail Hello,

The striker has never started for his country and is hoping he can do himself justice in Tuesday's fixture against Sweden and earn himself a place in Fabio Capello's Euro 2012 team

Fulham striker Bobby Zamora is relishing his chance to impress for England, as he looks set for a place in Fabio Capello’s starting lineup against Sweden on Tuesday.

The Cottager has been an inconsistent figure in the England set-up, with just one cap to his name against Hungary, and was on the bench for the last two international outings.

However, manager Capello insists he is a fan of Zamora and is looking forward to seeing him at Wembley against Sweden.

As England look to build on their unexpected win against Spain at the weekend, Zamora is concentrating on doing everything in his power to impress the Italian further in what could be perceived as an audition for Euro 2012.

"Every game feels like a trial," Zamora told reporters. "You have got to take you chance and that's what I intend to do.

"I'm looking forward to it. I can't wait for it. There are guys vying for the same position as you.

"You have to bide your time and when you get that chance, try and impress and do my best to hang onto it.

"It's been a bit up and down with injuries but that's football, that's life. You work hard and take your opportunities when they come.

"To stay in the squad and to be involved in the summer is the aim."
