Chelsea's Ramires backs Brazil to make a 'big jump' despite Germany defeat

The Blues midfielder is confident that Mano Menezes and the Brazilian team are on the verge of progress and feels his team-mates should not lament Wednesday's loss
Brazil's Ramires expects the side to make a "big jump" in the near future, despite seeing the South American side lose 3-2 to Germany in Wednesday's friendly.

Coach Mano Menezes has endured a difficult time so far with the South America side as Brazil crashed out of the Copa America prematurely at the quarter-final stage to Paraguay.

Despite the disappointment of that, as well as Wednesday night's friendly loss, Chelsea midfielder Ramires is convinced that the five-time world champions will soon improve.

''The team will make a big jump,'' Ramires told ''I think we all know we could have won but we cannot lament the result.

''Every time, we give our all for the [Brazilian] national team. Now we have to work even harder. We need to win a big game and then bring continuity into our game and keep getting good results against the big teams.''
