Angel Di Maria gets the nod ahead of the forward, who returns to set-up after controversial absence, for the side's last friendly before hosting next month's Copa America
Manchester City's Carlos Tevez will only make the bench for the Argentina friendly against Albania this afternoon. It will be coach Sergio Batista's last chance to see his team in action before the Copa America kicks off at the start of July.
Called up at the last minute to be a part of the squad, Tevez could not make his way past the first-choice attacking trident of Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria and Ezequiel Lavezzi, who have been Batista's first choices for the majority of his one year tenure so far.
There are few surprises in the starting line-up, with Lucas Biglia the only new face. The Anderlecht man replaces Esteban Cambiasso in midfield, as the Inter star continues to battle against a muscle complaint.
The South American side will take on Albania in River Plate's Estadio Monumental at 2210 (1810 local time).
Argentina starting XI (4-3-3)
Sergio Romero; Javier Zanetti, Nicolas Burdisso, Gabriel Milito, Marcos Rojo; Javier Mascherano, Lucas Biglia, Ever Banega; Ezequiel Lavezzi, Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria.
