Brazil will play an international friendly against Ukraine at Pride Park next month.
The Samba stars are not new to playing in England, as they have played five times at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium in north London in the past, losing to Portugal and registering victories against Argentina, Italy, the Republic of Ireland and Sweden.
Former Manchester City star Robinho, Chelsea duo Ramires and Alex, Liverpool’s Lucas and Tottenham new boy Sandro have all been named in the Brazil squad for the clash.
Rams executive chairman Tom Glick was quoted as saying by BBC Sport: "This is a fantastic opportunity.
"We are immensely proud. It is a real opportunity to showcase the city of Derby and what a fantastic venue Pride Park Stadium is to the whole world."
Brazil will first take on Iran in Abu Dhabi before locking horns with Ukraine on October 11.
Pride Park has in the past hosted only one senior international game, which was England's 4-0 victory over Mexico in 2001.
