A league-wide select team will include the ex-Premier League icons along with the national team captain, who has set a new record for most call-ups to the squad in MLS history
The MLS All-Star first XI set to face Chelsea has been announced, and Thierry Henry, David Beckham and Landon Donovan have all been included.
The players, as voted for by fans, selected in the First XI will not necessarily be part of Ben Olsen's starting team for the All-Star match against the Blues on July 25, but all 11 players are considered All-Stars whether they make the field or not.
Sporting Kansas City had three players selected in the First XI, the most of any club, with goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen, midfielder Graham Zusi and defender Aurelien Collin all being voted in to the team.
