Benzema returns to Real Madrid training after Euro 2012 break

The Frenchman has returned to the training pitch with his club side after a prolonged holiday following his participation in the European Championship with France
Karim Benzema has resumed Real Madrid training following his extended leave after playing at this summer's Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.

The prolific hitman made it to the quarter-finals at Euro 2012 with France, where les Bleus were beaten 2-0 by eventual champions Spain.

Benzema has now returned from his holidays, and took part in the opening session of the second week of training.

Real Madrid commenced their pre-season preparations on July 16 after the summer break, but several players have yet to return following their participation at Euro 2012.

Players such as Mesut Ozil, Sami Khedira, Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Xabi Alonso, Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe are all still away on their breaks.

Madrid are currently preparing for Tuesday's friendly game against Oviedo, kicking off at 20.45CET.
