Serbian content with his side's performance against Spurs...Fiorentina fall to a 3-2 friendly defeat to Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon, coach Sinisa Mihajlovic refused to be downbeat despite the negative result.
“I wasn't able to stay calm on the touchline,” Mihajlovic declared to Violanews.
“It angers me when we concede, and we let in two identical strikes."
Despite twice taking the lead in the match the Serie A side ultimately fell to defeat as goals by Roman Pavlyuchenko and a Robbie Keane brace, his second goal coming in the 88th minute, were enough to secure victory for the north Londoners.
“My men were aware of [Robbie] Keane’s talents but it obviously wasn’t enough," he added.
“We came here to win, but there are still 20 days left to prepare ourselves before the start of the season.
“It is fair to say they [Tottenham] were ahead of us in preparing for the new season.
“I am happy with the progress of the side and we seemed well organised out there while at the same time causing a threat going forward.”
