New Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez made the dream start to life with his new club, scoring a fine lob in the 5-2 win over the MLS All stars.

Hernandez was brought on by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson just after the hour and did not disappoint the crowd who gave him a great reception.

The Mexican striker, nicknamed El Chicarito, was a constant threat during his cameo, winning the free-kick from which Darron Gibson scored Manchester United’s third goal.

Following the match Hernandez was interviewed and showed off an excellent command of English as well as a level head following his first run out for the English giants.

“It is like living a dream, it is good and I am going to work hard," Hernandez said.

Manchester United’s final game of the USA tour on Friday will see them face Hernandez’s old club Chivas with El Chicarito playing one half for each side.
