La Roja are aiming to make history by retaining their European title, but the Azzurri will not go down without a fight after upsetting German hopes once more
POLLSunday's Euro 2012 final sees reigning world and European champions Spain pit their wits against Italy in Kiev.
The two sides are familiar with each other, having played out a 1-1 draw in their opening Group C match, but this is undoubtedly a meeting with a lot more at stake.
La Roja are aiming to make history by becoming the first team to retain the title and also have the opportunity to match Germany's record haul of three tournament wins.
Meanwhile, Cesare Prandelli's men will be aiming for their second European Championship success, having not won the title since 1968.
Vicente del Bosque's side cruised out of Group C in first place before a comfortable quarter-final over France and a nervy penalty shootout victory against Portugal in the semis.
Italy were forced to face the lottery of penalties against England in the last eight but were more convincing during the 2-1 win over Joachim Low's Germany which booked their place in the final.
But now, all it comes down to is one more match. So, who do you think will triumph in Kiev on Sunday?
Both sides have potential players of the tournament in the shape of Andres Iniesta and Andrea Pirlo, but which one will lead their team to success? Will Spain pass their way to glory and into the record books? Or will Italy cause another upset and claim the trophy?
