Following Italy claiming a final spot, the Manchester City striker is the favourite to grab the prize, but there are six others still in with a shout come the end of the tournament
Italy striker Mario Balotelli now appears on course to claim the Golden Boot at Euro 2012, following his double against Germany on Thursday, with his nearest rival Mario Gomezbeing knocked out.
The Germany striker is currently leading the ranking table, despite both having scored three goals, having recorded one assist during the tournament.
However, Balotelli has the chance to overtake the Bayern Munich man during Sunday’s final against Spain.
Talking of La Roja, three of Vicente del Bosque’s charges also have a chance of claiming the prize as Fernando Torres, Cesc Fabregas and Xabi Alonso have all netted twice so far.
And two of Balotelli’s Italy team-mates are an outside chance as Andrea Pirlo and Antonio Di Natale, are both currently on one goal.
So, who do you think will be crowned the top goalscorer of Euro 2012?
