Czech Republic forward Milan Baros is set to retire from international football, according to Mlada fronta Dnes.

The 30-year-old fell to his knees following the 1-0 defeat to Portugal in their Euro 2012 quarter-final on Thursday, and reports in the country suggest he will announce his decision in the coming days.

Baros, who made his international debut in 2001, has scored 41 goals in 93 appearances for the national team.

He was in scintillating form at Euro 2004, topping the tournament's scoring charts with five goals as Czech Republic reached the semi-finals.

However, the Galatasaray frontman failed to score a single goal at Euro 2012 despite starting each of the team's four matches in Poland and Ukraine.

Questioned about the reports, team captain Tomas Rosicky told the press: "I am not going to say anything about it."
