The 23-year-old admitted to being disappointed with his lack of opportunities in the tournament, but insisted he is ready to contribute to Germany's cause
Germany attacker Marco Reus is eagerly waiting for the chance to prove himself at Euro 2012.The 23-year-old was in sensational form for Borussia Monchengladbach in 2011-12, scoring 21 goals in 37 competitive appearances to earn a €17.5 million move to Borussia Dortmund.
However, Reus has not yet played a single minute at the Euros so far, but remains hopeful that he will be able to take part in the tournament.
"I have not yet had my chance, which is disappointing," he told Kicker. "But I have to accept the coach's decision.
"But this is easier said than done. It is very difficult to deal with it because I am not used to this feeling.
"In football, everything happens so fast. You just have to wait for your chance and make the most of it.
"I am 23, so I am not that young anymore. We have many young players in our team.
"I can play in all attacking positions. I am ready to play. I hope I will get my chance."
Germany, who topped Group B with nine points from three matches, will meet Greece on Friday in their quarter-final clash.
