Modric is Croatia's main threat, says Mata

The Chelsea man has admitted that Spain's final group game against Slaven Bilic's men will not be easy, with both sides needing points to secure their places in the quarter-final
Spain's Juan Mata believes Croatia midfielder Luka Modric will be a major threat in their Group C meeting on Monday.

The Chelsea attacker is no stranger to Croatia's danger man having faced the Tottenham midfielder in the Premier League in 2011-12.

"Croatia are playing very well," Mata told Marca TV. "They have very good players that I know from the Premier League.

"Luka Modric is dangerous and we will have to keep a close eye on him."

Mata, who has yet to make an appearance for his country in Euro 2012, is confident that La Roja can claim all three points on Monday, which would see the defending champions top their group and seal a place in the quarter-finals.

"We are going for the win," Mata insisted. "That is what we always do.

"We are in good form and looking forward to this game. We know the fans are enthusiastic and they expect another win."
