"But one thing I must underline - if we had won on Friday we would not have been in the next round, and it is the same if we had lost; we would not have been out of this tournament."
Franciszek Smuda's side will face group leaders Russia in their next game and the Borussia Dortmund man believes that it will prove to be the most important game in Group A.
"We have watched Russia. They played very effectively and they underlined that they are the favorites in this group. But in this moment, it is 0-0 between Poland and Russia.
"This match is now the most important match in this tournament for us. We have some respect for Russia but we are well prepared. No one is resigned [to defeat] because we have not lost."
The two sides meet in Warsaw on Tuesday, and will kick off at 20:45CET.
