thumbnail Hello,

Uefa will take action following missiles thrown by Mannschaft supporters and the Seleccao's late restart in the second half during the Group B opener in Lviv on Saturday

Uefa has today confirmed that disciplinary proceedings will commence against the German Football Association (DFB) and Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).

The actions follow respective incidents that took place during Germany’s 1-0 win over Portugal in their Euro 2012 Group B match on Saturday evening.

Mario Gomez’s 72nd-minute header was enough for the Germans to take all three points in Lviv and kickstart their Euro 2012 campaign.

However, Uefa has charged the DFB for the throwing of missiles by the German supporters, while the FPF have also been charged, following Portugal’s delayed second half kick off.

The Uefa Control and Disciplinary Body will hear the individual cases on Thursday 14 June.
