Low credits Mourinho with Ozil and Khedira development after Germany's win over Portugal

The boss of the Nationalelf says he spoke to his Real Madrid counterpart to show his appreciation for the progress made by midfield pair after their Group B opener on Saturday
Joachim Low took the opportunity of conversing with Jose Mourinho following Germany's victory against Portugal on Saturday to thank the Real Madrid coach for his job of nurturing Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira.

The Portuguese had been spotted in the stands supporting his nation against die Mannschaft, but their boss revealed he held no grudges towards the joint-leaders of Group B after the game, despite the Seleccao's 1-0 defeat.
10/1 Mesut Ozil is 10/1 with William Hill to be named Euro 2012 Player of the Tournament.

"I spoke with Mourinho after the game," Low said. "He told me Khedira and Ozil are in great form, and that the game was tough for both teams.

"I have a tremendous amount of respect for him. I must say he developed Khedira and Ozil dramatically. We often speak about their development."

Both players joined Real Madrid after a successful 2010 World Cup campaign in which Germany reached the semi final of the competition, losing to eventual winners Spain.
