Ribery not in doubt for Euro 2012, says Heynckes

The Frenchman picked up a knock in Saturday's Champions League final defeat at the hands of Chelsea, but the Bayern Munich coach believes that the injury is not too serious
Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes does not believe that Franck Ribery's participation at Euro 2012 is in danger after he picked up an injury in his side's Champions League final defeat by Chelsea at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.

The France international sustained an ankle problem after being fouled by Didier Drogba inside the area in the 93rd minute, and was forced to leave the pitch only minutes later due to the knock.

Ribery has yet to undergo further examination to determine the extent of the injury, but his physical problems do not seem to be too serious.

"We don't know the exact nature of the injury yet, but I do not think that it is too serious," Heynckes stated to reporters.

The 29-year-old was included in France's 27-man provisional squad for Euro 2012. Les Bleus take on England, Sweden and Ukraine in the group stage of this summer's tournament.
