Fulham striker Pogrebnyak called-up to Russia's Euro 2012 squad

Dick Advocaat has filed a list with mostly domestic-based players for the tournament in Ukraine and Poland, and will announce the final 23-man roster in due course
Russia coach Dick Advocaat has named his provisional 26-man squad for Euro 2012, with Fulham striker Pavel Pogrebnyak included on the list.

The squad features a number of names that were instrumental in the country's run to the Euro 2008 semi-finals, as Andrey Arshavin, Roman Shirokov, Yuri Zhirkov, Igor Semshov and Aleksander Anyukov have all been included in a Russian Premier League-laden roster.

The only surprise is that Advocaat has selected Sporting Lisbon's Marat Izmailov for the first time in his tenure thanks to the 29-year-old's tremendous club form since his return from a persistent knee injury.

Advocaat has already announced that he will step down as Russia coach after the tournament.
