Uefa has announced the seedings for the draw for next year's European Championships in Poland and Ukraine.

The draw for the finals takes place at the Palace of Arts in Kiev on 2 December.

Four seeding pots have been created for the purpose of the draw, with the host associations
Poland and Ukraine being top seeds: Poland as A1, Ukraine as D1.

The reigning champions Spain will be placed in Pot 1 as well, together with the Netherlands, the team with the highest national team coefficient, as established at the conclusion of the play-off matches.

Euro 2008 finalists Germany as well as 2006 World Cup winners Italy have both been placed in Pot 2 alongside England and Russia.

Euro 2004 winners Greece have to settle for a place in Pot 3, just like Portugal, Croatia and Sweden.

Meanwhile, France have been placed in Pot 4 together with Denmark, Czech Republic and Ireland.

The seedings leave the possibility that England could be drawn in a 'group of death' with Spain or the Netherlands, Portugal and France.
