Portugal winger Nani delighted with team's performance in Euro 2012 win over Denmark

Manchester United star nets twice in convincing victory
Two-goal hero Nani hailed the performance of Portugal as they edged their Euro 2012 campaign back on track with a 3-1 victory over Denmark at the Estadio do Dragao.

The Manchester United winger netted two quick-fire goals in the first half to help new coach Paulo Bento to a crucial victory, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring late on to secure the win.

Responding to journalists after the match, he spoke of his satisfaction at the victory, stating: “There were two moments of inspiration, we were very focused for this game, and we made many opportunities to score.

“I am happy to have helped the team win. We produced a great performance and this result makes our position stronger in the group.

He also indicated that the players are happy to be playing under Bento after last month's acrimonious departure of previous national team coach Carlos Queiroz.

“Paulo Bento remains the same type of coach. The players are happy,” he said.

Portugal have now taken four points from their first three qualifying matches on the road to Euro 2012.
