“I’m feeling good at the moment,” he told BBC Sport.

“I’m trying to keep the momentum rolling but there’s so much I’ve got to improve on.”

The young goalkeeper didn’t have the busiest of nights at Wembley, but when he was called into action in the second half he made some crucial saves to keep England in the game.

"I try to stand big,” he added, “I've stolen it [the technique] from Kasper Schmeichel, who I worked with for a bit - and it's working for now.”

And with England’s next match already on the horizon Hart revealed his focus was firmly on Tuesday night’s encounter.

"It's nice to get the victory but it's gone now. We've brushed it aside and will start again on Tuesday against Switzerland."
