Scotland boss Craig Levein has announced the starting XI for Friday's first Euro 2012 qualification game against Lithuania.

David Weir starts in central defence to become Scotland's oldest ever capped player, at the age of 40, overtaking Jim Leighton.

Alan Hutton has managed to avoid a reoccurrence of a hernia injury following a recent surgery to start in right-back.

Barry Robson, Lee McColloch and Scott Brown have been chosen to start in midfield ahead of Graham Dorrans, Paul Hartley and Charlie Adam with Kenny Miller and Steven Naismith due to spearhead the Scottish attack.

Starting XI: McGregor; Hutton, Weir, McManus, Whittaker; Brown, Fletcher, McCulloch, Robson; Naismith, Miller
