Scotland trio Chris Iwelumo, Lee Wallace and Kevin McNaughton to miss Lithuania Euro 2012 qualifier

Wolves striker Steven Fletcher also struggling...
Scotland are without Chris Iwelumo, Lee Wallace and Kevin McNaughton for their opening Euro 2012 qualifier against Lithuania.

Manager Craig Levein has been dealt the blow after the trio were assessed by medical staff. The injured trio will now sit out Friday's meeting against the Eastern European side.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, the ex-Hearts boss revealed the absence of the senior stars.

He said:
"Definitely out of the game is Chris Iwelumo. He picked up a hamstring strain, he has been assessed by the medical team and is definitely out.

"Lee Wallace will also miss the first match.

"Andy Webster is out, he has an ongoing situation with his hamstring and hasn't played for a while so I expected that one.

"McNaughton won't be available for the first match but he might be available for the second game."

Levein also declared that Wolves striker Steven Fletcher is a doubt for the clash but Tottenham Hotspur's Alan Hutton should feature.

"Steven Fletcher is a doubt for the first game but we will find out more on that," he added.

"The good news is that Alan Hutton is here, I thought he would miss the first game but it looks as though he will be okay."
