Fabio Capello reveals he can't select Mikel Arteta for Euro 2012 qualifiers yet but refuses to rule out England future for Everton star

England manager Fabio Capello has admitted that he cannot pick Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta for the national side at the moment.
It has been reported that Capello has met with the Spanish midfielder, who is now eligible to represent England under residency rules but has yet to apply for British citizenship.
The Football Association have also cooled rumours that they have met with former Real Madrid coach Capello to discuss the eligibility of Arteta.
"I like to speak about the players that I can select. When I can select [Arteta] I can speak about him. I can't select [him] because he is not English," Capello said.
"I prefer to speak about the players I can select."
The FA also confirmed on Saturday that they have also not held talks with Capello over the prospect of Arteta playing for England.
"We have not discussed the matter as a policy, as we have not been in a position where the manager wants to select a 'dual passport player'," said an FA spokesman.
Arteta has spoken recently about the idea of playing for England as his chances of representing Spain appear to be slim due to the talents of the likes of Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas.
