The midfielder has admitted that the Catalans have lost form "in recent weeks" and that the "whole team" must take the blame - not just coach Tata Martino
The Blaugrana twice took the lead at Camp Nou, through Lionel Messi and Alexis Sanchez. However, Angel Lafita levelled twice for Getafe, with his second goal arriving in injury time, to leave Barca three points behind leaders Atletico, who can now pull six clear with just two rounds remaining by beating Levante on Sunday.
“La Liga is practically over for us," Busquets told reporters. "It’s almost lost.
“In these recent weeks we haven’t been on form, but we pulled through with our games, the possibility of something happening like what happened today could was a possibility.
“We had ball possession and goalscoring chances, but we have to control so much more in order to win, we have to be a more complete team.”
Coach Tata Martino took full responsibility for Barca's late-season collapse after the game, but Busquets says the players must all take their share of the blame for the fact that the Blaugrana are set to finish their campaign trophy-less.
“We conceded goals that we should not have conceded," the midfielder lamented. "The fault lies with the whole team.
“We have two games left and we have to try to finish as strong as possible because we play for the best club in the world.
“Hopefully next season will be better.”
Barcelona face an away trip to Elche before hosting Atletico Madrid to draw their season to a close with the latter set to win the league if they prevail in their next two matches.
