The defender has emerged as one of Europe's hottest defensive prospects but says he is focused on playing Champions League football for his current employers next season
The 19-year-old has emerged as one of Europe's hottest defensive prospects with his performances this season, which have helped his side into fourth place in La Liga and secured Champions League football for next season.
But with Bayern and Barcelona both enduring problems at the back, the pair have been tipped to activate Laporte's €36 million (£29.6m) buy-out clause, though he insists his sole focus is playing European football for his current employers.
He said: "I have really have a lot of desire to play Champions League with Athletic Bilbao next year. I am focused on Athletic and i'm ignoring all of the rumours."
However, Laporte did admit to his desire to win a first call-up for France and play at the World Cup in Brazil.
"I want to go with France to the World Cup. It would be a great experience and dream. I have grown a lot with Ernesto Valverde."
