Antonito: Sevilla - Betis tie like a cup final

The former striker says clashes between the two sides are unique affairs ahead of their first ever European meeting on Thursday night
Former Sevilla striker Antonito has likened the Europa League tie with Real Betis to a "cup final".

The former Rojiblancos forward spent five years at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and faced the club's fierce cross-city rivals on a number of occasions.

The two sides meet for the first time in European competition on Thursday in the first-leg of their last-16 tie and Antonito says the rivalry is incomparable with any other derby clash.
He told Goal: "There's nothing like a Sevilla - Betis game. I played in other derbies with other teams and it's so different.
"When a foreign player comes to Sevilla, he knows that this match is special. Winning titles and moving up in the table is important, but this match is just as important as titles for the city.
"There are families with fans of both teams and mixed feelings in this match. The game is 60-40 in Sevilla's advantage."

The 36-year-old was then asked which sides he thought were the main contenders to win the Europa League, with a number of teams dropping into the competition having been knocked out of the Champions League group stage.
He added: "The favourites teams to win the Europa League are Juventus and Napoli."
