The 22-year-old Brazilian damaged his ankle in the 2-0 Copa del Rey victory over Getafe in the middle of January and was expected to be sidelined for a month.
"Neymar took an important step towards his return to the first team this morning when he joined in training with the rest of the squad for the first time since his ankle injury," the club's official website confirmed.
The attacker has scored six goals in 16 league appearances for the Liga champions this season.
Barcelona are currently preparing for their Copa del Rey second-leg semi-final clash with Real Sociedad in San Sebastian on Wednesday, having triumphed 2-0 in the first leg at Camp Nou last week.
Gerardo Martino's men then face Rayo Vallecano in La Liga on Saturday before travelling to the Etihand for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Manchester City.
