The Real Madrid president believes the Portugal captain fully deserves to beat Lionel Messi and Franck Ribery to the prize but admits he does not know if he will attend the event
Earlier this week the Portuguese forward was named on Fifa's three-man shortlist for the award, alongside long-standing rival Lionel Messi and Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery.
But the Real Madrid president unsurprisingly backed his side's star man to win the prestigious award in January following his exceptional form in 2013.
"I am convinced Cristiano Ronaldo will win the Ballon d'Or, otherwise it would be an injustice," the Blancos chief told journalists at the club's annual Christmas dinner.
"Everyone knows he is the best player in the world and he's had an amazing year."
However, Perez could not confirm whether the 28-year-old will be in attendance to collect the gong at the glittering gala in Zurich due to tensions between the player and Fifa chief Sepp Blatter.
"I don't know whether Ronaldo will be going, you will have to ask him," added Perez.
The 66-year-old also insisted he wishes to see Xabi Alonso and Angel Di Maria remain at Santiago Bernabeu following recent speculation over their futures.
"We all want Xabi to stay at the club, and there have been no offers for Di Maria," he stressed.
