Barcelona dealt blow with Messi hamstring injury

The Spanish champions have confirmed the 26-year-old will undergo further tests on Monday after limping out of the club's clash with Real Betis on Sunday evening
Barcelona have been dealt a fresh injury blow to Lionel Messi after the forward limped out of the club's La Liga fixture against Real Betis with a hamstring problem.

The 26-year-old started in a central role for Gerardo Martino's men in the trip to Betis but only lasted 21 minutes before being substituted.

Barcelona have confirmed Messi will undergo further tests on Monday but he is now a major doubt for Argentina's friendlies in the upcoming international break against Ecuador and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Messi broke Gerd Muller's record for goals scored in a calendar year in the fixture last season but has now gone five Liga games without a goal.
