The 28-year-old has spoke of his delight having inked a new contract which will keep him with the Liga giants until 2017, unless his buyout clause of €90m is triggered
The Brazil international joined the Blaugrana from Sevilla in 2010, but it would take a substantial bid to pry the 28-year-old away from the Spanish giants after a buyout clause of €90 million was written into his current deal.
Club president Sandro Rosell, vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu and director-of-football Andoni Zubizarreta were present during the signing ceremony and, speaking to Barca TV, Adriano revealed his delight at committing his future to "the best club out there."
"It is a very happy day for me because I know I have the confidence of the president, the board of directors, the coaches and the team," he said.
"Signing a contract for four more years is a dream come true because Barca is the best club out there."
Adriano has scored eight goals for the Catalan giants from 101 appearances.
