Les Parisiens' director of sport has revealed the Spanish giants are keen to recruit the Italian coach, potentially allowing for Cristiano Ronaldo to move to ParisLeonardo says Real Madrid are interested in attracting Carlo Ancelotti whilst also hinting the switch could leave the door open to Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho joining Paris Saint-Germain as a result.
Ancelotti arrived at the Ligue 1 outfit in December 2011 and has guided the club to a 10-point lead at the top of the table after Saturday's 1-0 win over Troyes.
Speaking to TF1, Leonardo claimed los Blancos are looking to replace Mourinho and this could leave the door open to a summer move for both Ronaldo and the Portuguese coach.
"The idea is to continue with him [Ancelotti]," the former AC Milan midfielder said.
"Real Madrid are interested in him, and that was the case long before today. The transfer window is curious. But Carlo is very important to us.
"Even he [Ronaldo] does not know what will happen," the 43-year-old Brazilian replied when asked about Ronaldo's plans.
"His future depends on the emotions and the emotions change from one week to another. Sincerely, today we know nothing.
"In football, things change every minute. I also think [Mourinho] still has not decided on his future."
Leonardo, who was capped 60 times by his country, also took time to acknowledge David Beckham's impact at the club, declaring that the England midfielder is welcome to stay.
"It's up to David to decide if he wants to stay or not," he added.
"It is a privilege to have him here. We will try but it is up to him [to choose]. He has his life, but the door is open for him to stay at PSG. If he wants to continue, we will continue. The ball is in his court."
