Barcelona striker David Villa says he is happy about his understanding with Lionel Messi after his side's 3-1 win over Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.
The pair have been rumoured not to get along very well, but combined to great effect in the Liga clash, with each creating and scoring the Blaugrana's goals.
"The three goals were between Messi and me. I'm happy to participate directly with him on so many," the 31-year-old told Canal+.
He added to Barca TV: "I don’t normally set up that many goals and I really feel valuable having done so in these last couple of matches.
"I’m very pleased with how I did this week and now I just want to make sure I carry on like that and help the team to get to the end of the league and the Champions League final."
Stand-in coach Jordi Roura added that the two players have a perfectly good relationship, despite rumours to the contrary over the years.
"People have always talked about this, but it seems absurd to me," the 45-year-old told reporters.
"Currently their relationship is the same as always, very good. I see no significance."
