The shot stopper has downplayed reports that the two had a war of words after the win over Valencia, and has hailed fellow glovesman Iker Casillas
A number of reports from Spain suggested that a confrontation took place between the Portuguese duo after Madrid's 2-0 Copa del Rey win over Valencia earlier this week, but the 25-year-old has stressed there is no truth in these rumours.
"This confrontation didn’t even happen. The coach gave an opinion and the player gave his. We are all adults," Adan was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
"You can always have different opinions, with the player showing the utmost respect towards the coach and the coach towards the player in a conversation, even if the opinions are opposed."
Adan went on to discuss his relationship with Iker Casillas, and made it clear that the Spain international is very supportive.
"Our relationship is very good. I have already said that apart from being team-mates we're friends, too. He has been great with me.
"Casillas is the captain of Real Madrid and Spain. He brings together all the values of a footballer and a team-mate and has helped me at all times and given me his support and trust."
Adan has made six appearances in all competitions for Madrid so far this term.
