Cuenca resumes Barcelona training

The 21-year-old winger has not featured for the Blaugrana since May 2012, but is on his way back to full fitness after a lengthy injury lay-off
Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova has received some encouraging news on the injury front as young attacker Isaac Cuenca has returned to the training pitch again after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a knee injury.

The 21-year-old underwent knee surgery at the end of the 2011-12 campaign, and was initially expected to be out of action for an estimated three to four months.

However, Cuenca's recovery has taken longer than first anticipated and the promising winger has not featured all season for his club.

The Spain Under-21 international is now on his way back, though, as the Catalans have confirmed on their official website that he has resumed squad training.

Cuenca has not set a date for his comeback just yet, but the attacker could resume match action in the upcoming weeks.
