The former goalkeeper has poked fun at the tense and mysterious scenario currently dominating the Santiago Bernabeu side's media coverageReal Sociedad coach Philippe Montanier has joked that he hopes Real Madrid opt to play with Cristiano Ronaldo in goal when the two sides meet on Sunday.
The 48-year-old was poking fun at Jose Mourinho's recent decision to drop the shot-stopper for los Blancos' recent defeat to Malaga, a situation which the Portuguese trainer has still yet to explain.
“I hope they play with Cristiano Ronaldo in goal and Iker Casillas on the right wing!” Montanier chuckled at a press conference, before addressing more serious matters.
“We are seven games unbeaten, but let's not forget that they [Real Madrid] have won six and drawn two at the Bernabeu, with an average of three goals scored.
“It will be a difficult but exciting challenge.”
Sunday's Liga clash between the two sides is scheduled for a 17:00 CET kick-off.
